Keen walkers can join the South West Coast Path just 200 metres from the property. Leave the car at home and enjoy a walk down Bude canal and into Bude, or take advantage of the cycle path into the town (1.5 miles). Here you’ll find shops and restaurants, as well as the famous tidal pool on Summerleaze Beach, where there are also convenient facilities and beach huts to hire. To the south, Widemouth Bay Beach (1 mile) is popular with surfers and is lifeguarded at peak times; it also has plenty of rock pools to explore at its southern end. In summer everyone can have fun at the Monster Slip and Slide (3.5 miles). Further afield, there’s the Milky Way Adventure Park (17.5 miles) for a family day out, and the Roadford Activity Centre (21 miles), which offers water-based adventures such as kayaking and sailing.
