In the opposite direction, the village of Camber (6 miles) offers a vast sandy sweep of beach and dunes. Closer to home, enjoy peaceful strolls along the banks of the River Rother, winding through wetlands and nature reserves teeming with local wildlife and seabirds. Other popular destinations include the seaside towns of Hastings and Bexhill (both within 18 miles).
