Take a tour through the opulent staterooms, browse the rotating exhibitions, and take a stroll in the grounds, home to deer. For a seaside adventure, make a beeline for Holkham Beach (15 miles), where you’ll find pristine sand dunes and sweeping North Sea views. For a little excitement, treat yourself to a big day out at Fakenham Racecourse (4 miles).


Park in your private parking area (there’s room for two cars) and head inside your chic glamping retreat. Take a moment to soak up the calming, rustic decor, which showcases a tasteful pale wooden floor, geometric wall and ceiling latticing, and a characterful wood burner. A generous super-king-size bed and three singles sit below the soaring circular ceiling. The whole space is bathed in light that pours in through a central skylight.
