Wansfell Pike, with its magical views, is 2 miles away and Loughrigg Fell is a 3.5-mile hike, passing Dockey Tarn and Rydal Cave. Take time out to visit the childhood home of renowned Lake District poet William Wordsworth, 3.5 miles away. Visit Grasmere, a distance of 4 miles, where you can stock up on the village's famous gingerbread.


Enter this lovely retreat and head through to the bright kitchen/diner to unpack the groceries you have bought in town. The kitchen is a light, bright space with farmhouse-style design featuring a dining table for your family feasts. Next you will find an inviting lounge, where you can gather round a glowing wood burner on soft seating. Upstairs, you will find the main lounge, where there is another wood burner. Settle in here for movie nights in front of the Smart TV or with a DVD playing. One of your bedrooms, a king-size, and a family shower room are also on the floor. Climb the stairs to find two more bedrooms, a twin and another king-size, each with an en-suite bathroom. Your final bedroom is on the lower ground floor, accessed by stairs from the ground floor living room. This king-size bedroom has an en-suite shower room. Also on the lower ground floor you will find an inviting snug/games room complete with Smart TV, table football and relaxing furniture.
