It’s only 1 mile to the nearest village, Wroxall, where you’ll find a shop and a pair of pubs, plus the ever-popular Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary. Ventnor (3 miles) and Shanklin (4 miles) are both great for traditional seaside days out. At Ventnor, you can stroll around the Botanic Garden or sunbathe and paddle on the beach, while Shanklin has a fabulous beach, the Esplanade, and the Old Village – a picture-perfect collection of thatched cottages, tea shops, and independent shops. Shanklin Chine, the 10,000-year-old gorge that’s hailed as the island’s oldest tourist attraction, is also well worth your time.
The main property on this site is a gorgeous, larger countryside getaway. Just off the main hallway, there is a boot room with WC.
