When it’s time to eat, you’ll be spoilt for choice, from tempting cafes and artisan bakeries to welcoming pubs and restaurants serving fresh local produce and seafood. The vast sandy beach at Holkham (5 miles) awaits for long walks, paddling and picnics among the dunes. For something more adventurous, head to Brancaster Staithe (3 miles), where you can try your hand at sailing or simply watch the boats come and go across the marshes. Wildlife lovers shouldn’t miss a boat trip from Morston or Blakeney (15 miles) to see the area’s famous seal colony.
