Walkers can head southwards towards Polruan (3 miles) or Pencarrow Head (5 miles), and the immediate area has some gorgeous beaches, including Lansallos and Polperro, both within 6 miles. From the village of Bodinnick (1.5 miles), the car ferry crosses over the river to the thriving resort of Fowey, with a pretty beach and a fantastic choice of pubs, restaurants and cafes. Other local attractions include Wheal Martyn Clay Works, Restormel Castle and Porfell Wildlife Park and Sanctuary, all within 16 miles.
