About This Property
Oc 35011 Monastery Cottage is a 2 bedroom dog friendly property
Offering peaceful, light and cosy accommodation for up to four guests, this delightful cottage provides a relaxing getaway for walkers and nature lovers exploring an idyllic part of Norfolk. The property sits along The Moor, an historic part of Reepham, a characterful little town with an array of friendly shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. Reepham dates back to Norman times and features a wealth of charming buildings dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. To the south of the town, the Marriott's Way offers a beautiful walk leading along to the popular Whitwell and Reepham Railway Station (1.5 miles), a fantastic heritage railway with steam trains and a lovely cafe. Other local attractions include Sparham Pools, Foxley Wood and The Bug Parc, all within 5 miles. Just a little further afield are the sandy beaches at Cromer and Sheringham, the city of Norwich, and Blickling Hall, all within 20 miles.
A couple of steps lead up to the cottage and then into a welcoming lounge/diner with a Smart TV, plenty of comfortable seating, a dining table by the window, and a charming feature fireplace in a brick surround. Heading through, a compact kitchen has plenty of equipment for rustling up your favourite dishes. A steep and characterful cottage-style staircase leads up to the first floor where you will find a refreshing bathroom and a choice of two king-size bedrooms, one of which can be made up as a twin room on request. One of the bedrooms also has a Smart TV, perfect for a lazy lie-in.
Stepping outside, the back garden has an artificial grass lawn and a small patio area with outdoor furniture and ambient string lighting, offering a peaceful spot for dining alfresco or for enjoying a morning coffee. A handy outhouse houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. Roadside parking is available for one car, and there’s also a free car park in the town.
