Perfectly located close to Blyth’s wonderful beach, the house is a fabulous retreat for couples, friends and large families. Stroll along the promenade passing the colourful beach huts and look out for seals and dolphins in the water. If you’re feeling active, you can try surfing from this beach. Explore the nearby shops, cafes and fish and chip restaurant. Walk to Seaton Sluice and discover the village’s pubs and restaurants, or visit the National Trust’s Seaton Delaval Hall, the former home of notorious Georgian partygoers. Whitley Bay is 5.5 miles away, where you’ll find another long, sandy beach, a skate park, mini golf, arcades, fish and chips, award-winning ice cream and the theatre. In Tynemouth, 8 miles away, you can visit Longsands Beach, the weekend market and a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, and there’s also a Metro station which will whizz you to the centre of Newcastle (15 miles).


This impressive house is set over four storeys and has unique decor that superbly blends style, comfort and function. From the spacious hallway, which has a tiled floor perfect for sandy feet, stroll through to the incredible home gym, where there’s a wide variety of equipment to keep your fitness levels up while on holiday, plus a Smart TV. On this level, you’ll also find the first of the five bedrooms, a handsome king-size bed, as well as a family shower room and a utility room. The spectacular lounge is on the first floor, with a soaring ceiling and lovely sea views. It’s filled with natural light, thanks to a row of huge skylights and wall-to-wall sliding glazed doors that lead to a balcony. Painted panelling, exposed brick and rugged timber combine with animal prints, huge chandeliers and tall house plants, creating a chic yet cosy atmosphere. This is a delightful space in which to relax, with comfortable seating, a Smart TV and an enormous wood burner around which you can gather after a day on the beach. Leading off the lounge is the kitchen/diner, with yet more fabulous lighting, a sturdy table for ten, a coffee station and a generous kitchen island with bar stools. The cook will find all the equipment necessary for creating large-scale meals, including an American-style fridge/freezer and a range-style gas hob, and there’s also a window seat where you can relax and enjoy the views across the working port to the sea. Head up to the third floor to find three more inviting bedrooms: two delightful doubles and a room with a single day-style bed, which pulls neatly out to become a double. These bedrooms share the second family shower room. Finally, take the stairs to the fourth floor for the spacious, super-king-size bedroom with a sloping ceiling and vast windows on either side, offering views of the coast to the front and the working port to the rear. This bedroom boasts ample storage for clothes, as well as a fabulous en-suite bathroom with a spa bath (below another sloping ceiling), a walk-in shower and a WC.


A glazed door at the far end of the hall leads to an enclosed patio, a secluded space with plenty of seating, an electric pizza oven and a large, smoke-free fire pit – ideal for relaxing in the sunshine, toasting marshmallows and snuggling up after dinner as you watch the stars come out. From the lounge, large sliding doors open onto a balcony where there’s a charcoal BBQ and seating, offering opportunities to cook al fresco or simply sit back and relish the view. The house has excellent security, with electric gates at the front which open to private, off-road parking for two cars. There is also space in front of the gates for an additional car to park on the street, and for further vehicles, a free public car park is just 50 metres from the house.
