Enjoy striding out along the Cuckoo Trail that passes nearby and cuts through woodland, meadows and quiet villages, or switch from country to coast with a visit to Eastbourne (10 miles) – uncover the promenade, spend a night in the theatre, or discover the seaside galleries and shops. Glyndebourne (9.5 miles) beckons with its world-famous opera house, while families will love trips to Knockhatch Adventure Park and Drusillas Park (both within 4.5 miles).
