About This Property
Oc 34217 The Coach House Cornwall is a 1 bedroom dog friendly property
This inviting holiday retreat is nestled in a sheltered valley just off Bodmin Moor, just 1.5 miles from a village shop with three pubs located within 2 miles. It is ideally located in a central position, perfect for exploring both coasts and all Cornwall has to offer. Countryside enthusiasts will feel right at home, Bodmin Moor is a walkers' paradise and cyclists can join the Caradon Cycle Trail straight from the door and enjoy a scenic 17-mile route. Stroll around Siblyback Lake whilst on your way to Golitha Falls (5.5 miles) for a refreshing expedition into nature. Carnglaze Caverns is 10 miles away, where you can wander through underground chambers, admire the clear-blue underground lake and the surrounding woodland trails. The Liskeard Heritage Trail (5 miles) guides you through old streets, past the impressive St Martin’s Church, and the Pipe Well, a holy well and historic water source. Head to the south coast and visit the fishing village of Looe and pretty Polperro Harbour or to the north take in the dramatic coastline and visit legendary Tintagel or famous culinary hotspots in Padstow and Rock.
Laid out over two floors, this former coach house has plenty of charm with vaulted and beamed ceilings retaining some of the building’s original features. Enter the property on the ground floor, where you'll find practical space for hanging coats and leaving shoes. On this level you'll also find a spacious dining area, beyond which is the fully equipped galley-style kitchen, welcoming and homely with a large wood burner that adds instant warmth and cottage character after a day in the fresh air. Upstairs, the lounge makes the most of dual-aspect windows, giving far-reaching views over moorland. Snuggle up on the sofa to watch TV or plan your adventures, on warmer evenings throw open the windows to let in the fresh air and views. When night falls, a king-size bedroom whispers of sweet dreams while the adjoining bathroom offers the option of a refreshing shower or a leisurely soak in the tub.
Outside, there is a pretty, enclosed garden; perfect for al fresco dining or basking in the sunshine. There are acres of private land for you to roam (dogs on the lead outside of the garden, within the farmland) and ample off-road parking, ensuring a truly hassle-free stay.
