There’s so much to do with this fabulous property as a base, whether you’re visiting as a couple, friends or a small family. The cottage is part of a group of three high-quality properties, just 1.5 miles from the Gelli Aur (Golden Grove) estate, where you can stroll among 100 acres of wooded parkland, spotting native wildlife, touring the arboretum and finishing your day with a slice of cake in the cafe. Head into the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park for exhilarating hikes among stunning scenery or perhaps venture to Carreg Cennen Castle, 6 miles, for its extraordinary views. A little further afield, see the Roman gold mine at Dolaucothi, 17 miles, the only one known in the whole of the UK. Finally, enjoy a spot of shopping or eating out in any of the nearby market towns: Llandeilo, Ammanford and Carmarthen are all within 15 miles. Set on the ground floor, but with some steps between rooms, this gorgeous barn conversion has been designed to make the most of large spaces, natural light and the incredible surrounding views. The living space includes a single-galley kitchen with everything the chef of the holiday will need to create delicious meals, including a dishwasher for convenience. Sip a morning coffee or sit and chat with the cook, while the dining-room extension features picture windows that frame the views of the rolling fields outside. Two generously sized and beautifully co-ordinated bedrooms both have ample storage, sumptuous linens, Smart TVs and patio doors to the garden. They also both have elegant en-suite shower rooms. Your private patio area right outside includes a bubbling hot tub with incredible views, perfect for relaxing aching muscles after days in the great outdoors. You can grill something delicious on the BBQ to enjoy at your picnic table, while children run on the lawns or clamber on the play equipment. For sociable times in the fresh air, wrap up and head to the raised fire pit area, shared between the three cottages, which has stunning views. Furry pals can go for long runs off-lead in the dedicated dog exercise field, and off-road parking for two cars is provided.
