Head into the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park for exhilarating hikes among stunning scenery or perhaps venture to Carreg Cennen Castle, 6 miles, for its extraordinary views. A little further afield, see the Roman gold mine at Dolaucothi, 17 miles, the only one known in the whole of the UK. Finally, enjoy a spot of shopping or eating out in any of the nearby market towns: Llandeilo, Ammanford and Carmarthen are all within 15 miles.
