A family stay at this welcoming holiday home in the harbour area of Ilfracombe means you’re perfectly placed to enjoy the best of this vibrant North Devon seaside town without needing to jump in the car. Start your visit with a relaxed wander around the pretty harbour just metres away, where colourful fishing boats bob on the water and the narrow streets are lined with independent shops, galleries and plenty of places to eat. From the harbour, you can also hop aboard one of the many boat trips available. Choose from wildlife-watching excursions, fishing trips or leisurely sightseeing cruises along the dramatic coastline. Alternatively, visit the Landmark Theatre, where you can catch family-friendly performances, live music and seasonal events – an excellent option for an evening out or a rainy-day activity. For classic beach days, travel 6.5 miles to Woolacombe, famous for its 3-mile stretch of golden sand and great surf. Enter through the porch, where you’ll find space for coats and boots as well as a handy washer/dryer, before stepping into the welcoming open-plan living area. The lounge, kitchen, and dining areas create a warm and sociable setting for unwinding after days out exploring. The dining area sits one step up from the lounge and provides a lovely spot to plan tomorrow’s adventures and savour family feasts cooked up in the sleek, well-appointed kitchen.
