This stunning Tudor-style house sits on a 300-year-old farm and makes a brilliant celebration spot thanks to its 6 acres of private grounds and fabulous entertainment options. You’ll have lawn games, football golf and a grass tennis court, plus an all-weather sports pitch for year-round fun. There are two friendly pubs within 1 mile, and you’re only 3 miles from the Ribble Estuary and the seaside charm of Lytham. Head to the quiet sandy beach at St Annes (6 miles) for bracing paddles and strolls along the prom and Victorian pier. Blackpool’s classic attractions are 9.5 miles away if you’re in the mood for bright lights and rides. Further afield, the Forest of Bowland (27 miles) has stunning walking and cycling routes. Keen golfers are also spoilt for choice with a range of course nearby. Inside, the house is brimming with character, boasting ornate original features, eye-catching artwork, antique-style furnishings and curious artefacts to admire. Underfloor heating throughout keeps things cosy. On arrival, step into the entrance hallway to find a ground-floor king bedroom with an en-suite shower room, followed by three further bedrooms: a super-king zip-and-link with a slipper-bath en-suite, a super-king with an indulgent four-poster bed and an en-suite with shower and Jacuzzi-style bath. There’s also a twin with its own en-suite shower room on the ground floor. The showstopping lounge is a real treat to spend time in, with vaulted ceilings, beautiful beams, stained glass and a feature fireplace, plus a Smart TV for relaxed evenings. Socialise and cook in the roomy kitchen, complete with an apron sink, range cooker and a space for informal dining. For big sit-down meals, serve up in the impressive dining room seating 12. Upstairs are two more bedrooms: a twin zip-and-link with an extra single bed (suited to a child) and an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath, plus a king-size with an en-suite offering a shower over bath set up. Outside, make the most of the large furnished patio, with fresh-air feasts possible thanks to the charcoal BBQ. The games room is packed with table tennis, pool, darts, table football and air hockey. You can also start each day with a few laps in the covered heated swimming pool (open May to October) or take extended dips in your own wonderful private hot tub.
