Hidden away in the peaceful countryside of Ottery St Mary, this calming glamping retreat offers the perfect escape for families and couples wanting to slow down and soak up the best of rural East Devon. Set in a spacious seven-acre meadow with only five other glamping tents, allowing lots of privacy and space for children to play, and surrounded by rolling farmland, woodland walks and big skies. The pretty market town of Ottery St Mary (2 miles) offers shops, pubs and riverside strolls, while the Jurassic Coast at Sidmouth (7 miles) promises golden beaches, dramatic cliffs and refreshing sea air. Discover the coastal charm of Budleigh Salterton (10 miles), browse the boutiques of Exmouth (11 miles), or head inland to Dartmoor National Park (18 miles) for wild walks and panoramic views. Step inside your spacious, beautifully styled safari tent and you’ll find a warm, welcoming living space full of rustic character and thoughtful touches. The open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area is perfect for sociable evenings, with everything you need for easy self-catering and relaxed family meals. Cosy rugs, soft lighting and a woodburning stove make this an inviting place to unwind, whatever the weather, while the sofa and armchairs offer space to stretch out with a good book or one of the provided board games. When night falls, sink into the comfort of a made-up double bedroom or twin room – or, for an extra sense of adventure, climb the short ladder into the charming wooden cabin bed, much loved by children and cosy enough for two adults. The tent also features a private shower room and an external compost loo, accessible across the decking. Outside, your private veranda and field space invite you to truly embrace outdoor living. Fire up the BBQ, gather around the campfire for toasted marshmallows, or unwind in your very own wood-fired hot tub beneath a sky full of stars. Adjacent to the glamping field is a centuries-old three-acre oak and bluebell woodland, which is private to the farm, where children can dam streams, make dens and play hide-and-seek, it's also perfect for dog walking. With plenty of space to roam, thoughtful eco touches, and a tranquil setting surrounded by nature, this glamping escape captures the perfect balance of comfort and countryside adventure. There is private parking for 2 cars available.
