For beach lovers, the golden sands of Woolacombe (16 miles), Saunton (15 miles) and Croyde (17 miles) are all within easy reach, offering everything from family-friendly paddling to world-class surfing. The nearby village of Braunton (13 miles) provides independent shops, cafés, and the famous Braunton Burrows UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, while closer to home the edge of Exmoor National Park (3 miles) is perfect for scenic walks and wildlife spotting. Families will love days out at Exmoor Zoo (4 miles) or Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park (8 miles), while the bustling market town of Barnstaple (9 miles) offers shopping, eateries and a historic pannier market. Step through the front door into a spacious and well-equipped kitchen/diner, the heart of the home and the perfect place to gather over hearty breakfasts or evening meals. With plenty of worktop space, all the essential appliances, and a dining table comfortably seating four, everyone can enjoy a stress-free stay with ease. After a day of exploring, the inviting lounge is a real highlight, complete with a crackling wood burner, soft sofas, and a selection of board games to bring everyone together. It’s a cosy, welcoming space where you can unwind with a glass of wine, catch up on your favourite shows, or simply enjoy the glow of the fire on cooler evenings. Upstairs, you’ll find two thoughtfully presented bedrooms: a king-size with calming countryside views, and a flexible twin room featuring both a king-size and single bed, making it ideal for families or friends travelling together. The bedrooms are separated by a family bathroom with a shower over bath and WC. Outside, the cottage extends its charm into the fresh country air, offering plenty of space to relax and enjoy the outdoors. To the rear, a large private lawn provides ample room for four-legged companions to stretch their legs, while a courtyard is a perfect spot for a morning coffee or evening drink under the stars. Guests also have use of a shared upper garden with further panoramic views, providing a peaceful place to sit back and soak up the tranquillity of the setting. Practical touches have been considered too, with a secure shed available for storing beach gear, surfboards, bikes, or golf clubs, meaning you can make the most of North Devon’s wealth of outdoor activities.
