This stone-built Grade II-listed property benefits from a prime location on the edge of the town, just a 5-minute walk from a great range of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants and walks into the local countryside from the doorstep. There is a theatre, cinema and arts centre, and of course, a visit to both the fabulous Alnwick Castle and the Alnwick Gardens is a must. Alnmouth village and its stunning beach are less than five miles away and perfect for a family stroll on the sand. Take a kite, play a scenic game of golf and eat lunch in one of the many village eateries. Drive up the coast to explore more seaside villages such as Warkworth (7.5 miles) with its medieval castle, sandy beach and beautiful river walks, Embleton for the beach and golf course, Amble (9.5 miles) for the marina, great seafood restaurants and boat trips to Coquet Island, and Bamburgh Castle, village and extensive beach (17 miles). Enter the hallway of this lovely building with high ceilings and parquet floors. The vibe inside is contemporary with plenty of natural light and comfortable furniture throughout. The attractive lounge area has a large leather sofa where you can all settle down for an evening watching a movie on the huge Smart TV (75’’). The space opens out to the kitchen/diner for sociable mealtimes, with a door leading to a second hallway and the utility area, which also features additional space for storing your outdoor gear, as well as a useful downstairs WC. Stairs lead up to the first floor and the bedrooms. The double bedroom is off the first flight of stairs, turn the corner and up the last few stairs to reach both king-size bedrooms, each with a Smart TV and one with an en-suite shower and WC and the single bedroom with a trundle bed which can be made up for an additional child guest if required. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC. Take a drink and sit outside in the enclosed rear patio to relax and plan your next day’s adventures. Parking is on street, opposite the house on the green.
