This scenic countryside spot is 6 miles from the historic coastal village of Bamburgh, famed for the magnificent Bamburgh Castle overlooking the stunning coastline and wonderful sandy beach. Trips to the beautiful Farne Islands can be taken from nearby Seahouses, 10 miles away, where vast colonies of seals, puffins and other seabirds can be seen up close, a haven for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts alike. Bamburgh also offers many cycle routes for walkers exploring St Cuthbert’s Way (20 miles). Culture vultures can uncover local history at 16th-century Lindisfarne Castle, 16 miles away, which, at low tide, can be reached on foot via a paved, tidal causeway.
