This is a stylish and comfortable retreat set on the northern fringes of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, perfect for families and groups of friends exploring Wales. The property offers a light and airy base for outdoor enthusiasts, with the dramatic Black Mountains and glacial lakes nearby. It is located close to Llandovery (3.5 miles), where you can find shops, pubs, and restaurants, and EV charging in the castle car park. The dramatic Black Mountains and Usk Reservoir (9.5 miles) are nearby for outdoor adventures. Other days out include the National Showcaves Centre for Wales (15.5 miles) and the Red Kite Feeding Station (7 miles). For a longer trek, explore the Epynt Way (7 miles), a 40-mile trail showcasing some of the region’s most beautiful and ancient scenery, including Mynydd Epynt and Mynydd Bwlch y Groes. Decorated to an exceptional standard, this property is designed for those who seek comfort and style in equal measure. It offers a spacious, triple-aspect living space and sleeps six guests. The open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area is the heart of the home, featuring a high-quality bespoke kitchen and a large dining table. A separate utility room provides added convenience with a large fridge-freezer (additional to a smaller fridge in the kitchen), washing machine, tumble dryer and microwave. Three restful bedrooms await along the hallway: a master room with a super king bed and an en-suite shower room, a second bedroom with a king size bed and a third with a double bed served by a family bathroom. The property has underfloor heating throughout, powered by a biomass boiler which is maintained by a property manager every one or two days to ensure hot water and heating. Water comes from its own well and is passed through a filter. Across a pebbled courtyard from the Cottage is a separate oak-clad Studio with large windows. This is a beautiful space for up to four people, featuring a king-size bed and a sofa that can be turned into a sofa bed. With no TV, it offers a perfect opportunity for a digital detox and a chance to fully immerse yourself in the serene, natural surroundings. It includes a shower room, a walk-in wardrobe, a mini fridge and kettle for tea and coffee. Outside, you can explore 56 acres of on-site grounds, apple orchards and woodlands. There is an outdoor dining table with bench seating in the pebbled courtyard, while a garden area in front of the Cottage has a fire pit with seating for outdoor gatherings and an enclosed playground with swings and a bird's nest swing for children, as well as a picnic table. A BBQ and an extra four garden lounge chairs are available in the shed. The property offers private, off-road parking for four cars.
