The one-bedroom annexe sleeps two guests and makes a lovely retreat for couples looking for a holiday that combines both coast and countryside. Enjoy rural walks directly from the property through ancient woodlands or across open commons, or pick up the East Devon Way which stretches for 40 miles between Exmouth and Lyme Regis. Alternativity, head south to join the South West Coast Path and explore the dramatic clifftop paths along the Jurassic Coast. The colourful coastal town of Exmouth has some delightful independent shops to potter around, along with cosy pubs and seafood restaurants. The town’s long, sandy beach (3.5 miles) is perfect for picnics, dogs all year round and is a hotspot for water sports. Visit Budleigh Salterton (4 miles), a charming town with interesting shops, wonderful wetland walks to Otterton Mill for a bite to eat and an award winning pebble beach. Nearby attractions include the National Trust’s A la Ronde, Darts Farm Shop, and Powderham Castle, all within 15 miles.

Outside, the enclosed courtyard garden has a picnic bench and is a lovely spot to relax on a summer’s evening. There is also use of a washing machine in an outdoor building around the corner and a tap for washing sandy paws and feet. Private parking is available for one car.
