It’s conveniently located next door to an award-winning farm shop with a cafe, and just 1 mile from both Thornton-le-Dale, a delightfully picturesque village, and the bustling market town of Pickering, each of which have a great choice of shops and places to eat and drink. From Pickering you can also take a nostalgic heritage train ride through the glorious scenery of the moors to Levisham, Newtondale, Goathland, Grosmont and the seaside resort of Whitby – a great day out. The coastal towns of Scarborough and Filey are also within 20.5 miles. Take younger guests to Flamingo Land, 5 miles, and teenagers to Dalby Forest, 4.5 miles, where there’s mountain biking and a Go Ape centre, or to the adventure playground at Castle Howard, 14 miles.
