Looking to unwind in the heart of the countryside? This two-bedroom dog-friendly thatched cottage is perfect for couples or small family groups. It’s set in a peaceful rural spot and only 4 miles from the market town of Bridport, where you’ll find independent shops, artsy cafes and a brilliant twice-weekly street market. Head 5 miles to Symondsbury Estate for a bite to eat or a scenic walk up Colmer’s Hill, or pop to West Bay (7 miles) for fresh sea air and fish and chips by the harbour. Golden Cap (7 miles), the highest point on the South Coast and a National Trust gem, is ideal for hikers. For classic seaside charm, drive to Lyme Regis (13 miles) and enjoy its sandy beaches, cute shops and ample fossil hunting opportunities. Kick off your boots in the handy little boot room before stepping into the warm and welcoming country-style kitchen/diner – it’s brimming with charm, with an apron sink and skylight. From here, head through to the inner hallway and into the cosy living room, where comfortable seating and a Smart TV invite you to relax after a day out (note: the fireplace is decorative only).
