Set within the grounds of a working farm, this self-contained safari tent sleeps up to eight people and makes a brilliant base for families – and yes, the dog too! It’s in the tiny rural village of Barsham, home to around 215 residents. Beccles (3 miles) is a delightful Georgian market town with indie shops, cafes, a regular market, riverside trails and even a heated outdoor lido. You can hire a canoe or a kayak, take a guided cruise on the River Waveney or keep an eye out for otters and kingfishers as you wander along the water’s edge. When you're ready to explore further, the Suffolk Heritage Coast is within easy reach, with Southwold, Dunwich and Covehithe all around 15 miles away. Other nearby highlights include Bungay Castle (5 miles), the RAF museum at Seething (7 miles), and Somerleyton Hall – a grand Jacobean manor (13 miles). This quirky retreat delivers the charm of camping with the elegance of a stylish wooden interior – the best of both worlds. Step through the entrance into the open-plan living area, where comfortable sofas and a wood burner create an inviting spot to unwind. There’s also a sofa bed here, bringing the total sleeping capacity to 6+2, plus a dining table with space for up to eight. To one side is a quirky double cabin bed, tucked neatly beside a fully equipped kitchen. A twin room sits just to the left of the kitchen, while a cosy double bedroom lies at the rear. From here, a back door leads out to the bathroom, which includes a shower, WC and handy changing area. The tent is surrounded by grass shared with the neighbouring tent and has a picnic bench so you can dine al fresco and enjoy the Norfolk sunshine while children and pets play nearby. There is private parking next to the tent.
