The sandy beach at Allonby (13 miles) offers a lovely coastal day out, too. Discover Armathwaite Hall Spa (4.5 miles), perfect for a relaxing day after long walks on the fells. Cockermouth is a delight to explore, filled with independent shops, cafes, and excellent restaurants.
