Brimming with original features, this sophisticated farmhouse tucked away in a quiet rural spot on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales is the perfect base for a memory-making getaway with family and friends.
Beneath the rustic stone exterior, you’ll find a haven of homely charm throughout the enchanting lounge which boasts handsome beams, a gorgeous inglenook fireplace housing a wood burner and a quirky window seat. Further echoing the building’s rich heritage, the cosy snug is the perfect peaceful spot to retire to, as it features a second wood burner and flagstone flooring. The farmhouse-style kitchen and adjoining dining room provide everything you need to whip up something delicious; the exposed beams will inspire your creativity. There are four bedrooms upstairs, one king-size, two doubles and one small double, two with en-suites and the other two sharing a Jack and Jill bathroom, which boasts wonderful countryside views. Dine alfresco on the paved patio, admiring wonderful countryside views, as children let off some steam on the lawn. After a day outdoors, rinse off in the outdoor shower or ease yourself into the hot tub. There is private parking for four cars at the cottage.
This secluded spot in the North Yorkshire countryside boasts countless scenic tracks and trails awaiting to be explored on foot or by bike; reconnect with the great outdoors by joining the iconic Pennine Way from the doorstep. Travel through history by exploring the 900-year-old Skipton Castle (7.5 miles), one of the best-preserved medieval castles in the whole country. Jump on a traditional steam train at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, 9.5 miles away, to journey to Haworth (9.5 miles), home of the Bronte sisters.
