The classic Cornish beach offers swimming, with lifeguards on duty in high season, rock pools and surfing when those Atlantic rollers arrive. Join the South West Coast Path for a wonderful hike and gorgeous views towards Bedruthan Steps or walk inland along the valley to pretty St Mawgan (0.5 miles), where you can buy delicious local produce at the village stores. The colourful fishing port of Padstow and the National Trust gem of Trerice, a small Elizabethan manor house with a delightful garden, are both within 7.5 miles. A private farm lane leads to the stone-clad barn and a bright, spacious and welcoming hallway with plenty of space to remove and store boots and beach paraphernalia. Charmingly furnished, the interior features fine original beams and areas of exposed stone, with a vaulted ceiling in the first-floor living space. This light-filled, open-plan layout features two sets of double doors opening onto a balcony with lovely, rural views, alongside comfortable seating in front of a cosy wood burner.
