About This Property

is a 2 bedroom dog friendly property

Nestled between the Cambrian Mountains and the coast, this charming cottage in the Dyfi Valley is a haven for a couple of walkers or wildlife lovers alike. The stone-built retreat is bursting with rustic character, complete with a crackling wood burner and a riverside garden where you can spend your evenings stargazing or toasting your toes around the fire pit.

The characterful holiday cottage sits next to a 19th-century chapel, now an artist’s studio. Inside, the cottage retains its original features, with flagstone floors and exposed beams. The kitchen/diner has been designed as a sociable space, ideal for cooking together. A utility shed outside houses a washing machine for added convenience. After a day of exploring, stretch out in the cosy lounge with a Smart TV and warming wood burner before retreating upstairs to one of the two beautifully designed bedrooms. The white-washed walls of the spacious super-king-size room promise a restful night''s sleep, while the single bedroom is perfect for a friend. The bathroom offers both a shower and a bath for a relaxing soak at the end of the day. Outside, the enclosed garden has been thoughtfully designed with feature planting, a fire pit, and a charcoal BBQ. With private parking for one car and secure bike storage, everything is taken care of.

Step straight from your door onto a wooded riverside footpath leading to the RSPB’s Ynys-Hir Nature Reserve, where a network of trails and hides offer the chance to spot rare birds. History buffs will love Dyfi Furnace, a preserved piece of Welsh industrial heritage with a waterwheel and waterfalls. For breathtaking landscapes, head to Ynyslas Visitor Centre (6.5 miles), the gateway to the Dyfi National Nature Reserve and the largest stretch of sand dunes in Ceredigion. Pumlumon, the highest peak in the Cambrian Mountains, offers a rewarding hike from Nant-y-Moch Reservoir (14 miles), or visit Machynlleth (6 miles), a vibrant market town known for its quirky shops, Museum of Modern Art, and the oldest street market in Britain.
