The picturesque village of Kippford nestles on the banks of the Urr Estuary on the Solway Coast and offers a peaceful and scenic setting with plenty of activities for all ages. The village is also a haven for sailing enthusiasts, with its sheltered waters and bustling yacht club. Kippford boasts of inviting pubs and restaurants serving local cuisine. Enjoy scenic walks along the Solway Coast, such as the trail to Rockcliffe and Muckle Walk. Relax on the nearby sandy beaches at Sandyhills or Rockcliffe. Enjoy a round of golf at the Colvend Golf Club, which offers beautiful views. Threave Garden and Estate offers stunning gardens and a chance to see the osprey or Explore Caerlaverock Castle this unique triangular castle and its surrounding nature reserve. The bustling market towns of Castle Douglas (Scotland’s Food Town), Dalbeattie and Kirkcudbright (known as the Artists Town) all within 25 miles. The open-plan kitchen/diner is perfect for sociable occasions, prepare a family dinner in this generously equipped kitchen with all you will need to rustle up a bite to eat with local produce purchased on your travels.
