Thrill seekers will appreciate the challenges of Bike Glenlivet (5 miles) with its fantastic zip wire. For winter sports enthusiasts, skiing/snowboarding is offered at the nearby Lecht Ski Centre, 7 miles. The village of Tomintoul itself boasts friendly independent shops, cafes, pubs and a restaurant.
