This stunning holiday home boasts a tranquil, rural location in the hamlet of Burnthouse, 5 miles from Falmouth. Sleeping four guests, the property makes a lovely couples’ retreat or base for a small family. The immediate area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, with water sports available at Stithians Lake, long-distance walks along the Bissoe Trail, and wildlife watching at Kennall Vale Nature Reserve (all within 5 miles). The luxurious barn conversion has a sociable, open-plan layout and is decorated in calming, neutral tones. At the heart of the home is a spacious lounge/kitchen/diner with an impressive vaulted ceiling, exposed beams, and feature windows framing views of the garden. The stylish kitchen area has gorgeous marble worktops and everything needed for a self-catering holiday. Rustle up delicious feasts here, to share around the large dining table. In the evenings, snuggle up in the cosy lounge area to watch the Smart TV in the glow of the wood burner. Also on the ground floor is a handy utility room and a shower room, along with a quiet snug with a second wood burner and a Smart TV. Completing the ground floor is a super-king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Stairs from the snug lead to another super-king-size bedroom, which enjoys relaxing views across the garden. Outside, dine alfresco on the sunny patio, where you’ll find outdoor furniture and a BBQ. Beyond the patio is a lush garden with an expansive lawn and shady spots for picnics on a summer’s afternoon. There is a large garage for storing outdoor gear such as bikes and paddleboards, and the property offers private parking for four cars. Journey into Falmouth to wander around its bustling harbour and peruse the many art galleries and studios dotted throughout the town. Falmouth is renowned for its culinary scene, and you’ll have a great choice of seafood restaurants and cosy pubs when it comes to dinner time. The town has four gorgeous beaches, and is the starting point for many popular walks. Heading north, you’ll soon reach Cornwall’s rugged, north coast and beauty spots such as St Agnes Head (14 miles) and the surfing hotspot of Porthtowan (10 miles).
