About This Property
Oc 28664 The Range is a 3 bedroom dog friendly property
This rural hideaway is in the heart of the County Wexford countryside, 2.5 miles from the bustling town of Enniscorthy. Sleeping seven guests, the spacious cottage makes a great base for large families and groups of friends. Enjoy long walks through the nearby Blackstairs Mountains (15 miles), or head to the coast (15 miles) to explore the county’s spectacular sandy beaches.
The delightful holiday home enjoys a peaceful setting alongside the owner’s farmhouse. The property is full of character, with fabulous, exposed trusses and wooden floorboards sitting alongside homely accessories and pretty artwork. The inviting lounge has an impressive, vaulted ceiling and is the perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing, either watching the Smart TV or reading next to the open fire. The farmhouse-style kitchen/diner has gorgeous wooden units and is equipped with everything needed for a self-catering break. There’s also a dining table for sharing mealtimes as a group. The property has a light and bright conservatory, along with three inviting bedrooms (two of which have en-suite facilities). A handy utility room completes the accommodation. Outside, the partially enclosed garden is south facing, making it the ideal spot for an al fresco meal on a summer’s evening.
Enniscorthy is a historic town with a great selection of pubs, restaurants, and coffee shops. The town sits on the banks of the River Slaney, offering tranquil walking opportunities, and is also overlooked by Vinegar Hill (a climb to the top of the hill offers spectacular views). You can learn all about the Battle of Vinegar Hill at the National 1798 Rebellion Centre in the town. History enthusiasts will also enjoy a visit to the 13th-century castle. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches, with Curracloe, Courtown, and Ballymoney all within 25 miles.
