About This Property

Oc 28229 Pod Popeye is a 1 bedroom dog friendly property

Rest and recharge in this romantic getaway in the heart of the Devon countryside. The property sits on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, offering endless walking routes through wild and remote landscapes. You’ll also be just 10 miles from the vibrant city of Exeter, for shopping and eating out. In the evenings, enjoy the peace and tranquillity from your own private hot tub on the terrace.

The rural retreat sits adjacent to the owner’s home, nestled amongst the rolling Devon countryside. Inside the wood-clad pod, you’ll find open-plan, studio-style accommodation, all carefully configured to make maximum use of the space. To the front of the pod is a cosy lounge area with a plump sofa and a Smart TV, set opposite a sleek kitchen area, with all the essentials for a self-catering holiday. Tucked away to the rear of the lodge is an inviting king-size bed and a separate shower room. Outside, dine on the terrace and take in the spectacular rural views, or sink into the hot tub to revive your weary limbs after a long walk. There are kennels and stables on site, should you require daycare for dogs or horses during your stay.

You’ll find plenty to see and do in the historic city of Exeter. Wander its quaint, cobbled streets to explore the unique shops and boutiques, or head down to the pretty quay to dine in one of the many waterside restaurants. Soak up the history on a tour of the cathedral, or head deep underground to discover the city’s fascinating network of underground passages. For a day at the seaside, journey to Exmouth (25 miles), where you’ll find a 2-mile stretch of golden sand. The town is also the gateway to the Jurassic Coast, with its breathtaking scenery and exhilarating clifftop paths.
