Protected by a narrow harbour entrance between two castles, Fowey remains largely unspoiled, with narrow winding streets lined by plenty of interesting shops, galleries, and eateries to explore. The sandy beach at Readymoney Cove (0.5 miles) offers sheltered swimming and stunning views across to Polruan (1 mile). A foot ferry from the quay takes you to Polruan, or the Bodinnick Ferry can transport you and your car across the river to explore further.
