This splendid barn conversion is a real 'get away from it all' in a wonderfully tranquil rural setting is a luxurious holiday home that offers something special. While sloping ceilings and wood-panelled walls create a delightful, cosy cabin feel, the beautifully furnished, contemporary interior has a distinctive Scandinavian vibe. The spacious, light-filled property sleeps four guests, with a welcome for two pets, and overlooks glorious open countryside, with an abundance of wildlife. An ideal retreat for a family or friends sharing who want to escape to the country, it is within easy reach of Debenham village (6.3 miles) where the River Deben flows through, where you can browse the local shops and finish the day at the popular dining pub. Step inside the striking, weather-boarded barn into a bright, open-plan living, dining and kitchen space. The thoughtfully planned layout has a minimal colour palette, with touches of bright colour, such as the velvet turquoise sofa. Pets have a cosy dog bed next to the wood burner and large bifold doors open to the garden. There are two inviting bedrooms, both with charming wrought-iron bedsteads and high ceilings: a king-size, with country views, and a twin with zip-and-link beds. A streamlined shower rom continues the contemporary theme. Outside, the enclosed garden has a large patio with dining furniture and a fire pit. Historic Needham Market (6 miles) has beautiful timber-framed buildings, while peaceful Needham Lake offers a nature reserve, walks and picnic spots. Magnificent Helmingham Hall (3 miles) is encircled by a moat and has spectacular Grade I-listed gardens, including a walled kitchen garden, rose, knot and wildflower gardens. There is a tearoom, and dogs on leads are welcome. Suffolk Owl Sanctuary (4 miles) is home to more than 80 owls and birds of prey from around the world, as well as a troupe of lively, meerkats. For a day at the seaside, head to charming Aldeburgh (22 miles). Jimmy's Farm and wildlife park is also an ideal place for a day out with plenty to see and do for all ages.
