Ideal for family holidays and special occasions, this stunning former farmhouse is wrapped in mature gardens and surrounded by fields. Dating to the 1600s, this large flint property offers flexible living accommodation for up to ten guests, and welcomes up to two dogs. Offering loads of space for relaxing and socialising, and plenty of entertainment, you may find it difficult to tear yourselves away. But there are glorious sandy beaches and many sights and attractions nearby to tempt you. Rustic features such as exposed beamed ceilings and lovely fireplaces give the cottage plenty of character. But it’s been sympathetically restored for the modern traveller with contemporary decor in a warm and homely style. Make yourselves comfortable in the inviting lounge, which boasts a brick fireplace with a wood burner and plenty of comfortable seating, or retire to the cosy snug and library. If you’re feeling playful, there’s a games room offering several table games or put up the badminton net in the back garden and challenge your travelling companions to a game. The grounds include a river, woodland and bridges, so young children and dogs should be supervised outside. Rustle up delicious meals in the shaker-style kitchen then gather in the impressive dining room, or fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco. Upstairs, the five bedrooms feature flexible sleeping arrangements, handy for accommodating large groups, while two bathrooms, a downstairs WC and a utility room take care of all practicalities. Opportunities for days out include Blickling Hall National Trust (11.5 miles), the magical BeWILDerwood (17 miles), and the popular seaside towns of Sheringham, Cromer and Mundesley (all within 8.5 miles).
