This neat two-bedroom property in the small village of Sweffling is a charming holiday getaway. Surrounded by Suffolk countryside, it’s a great option for a couple or small family wanting tranquillity, long walks, and easy access to the coastline. After a day exploring the landscape, step into the modern and bright open-plan living area. The lounge is a good space to relax in with its chic sofa and cosy wood burner, and home-from-home comforts include a shelf full of games, ambient lighting, and soft cushions. The whole space is swathed in natural light and when the weather is good, you’ll want to push open the French doors and let the fresh air breeze in. When it’s time to eat, rustle up a meal in the neat kitchen and then serve it at the dining table with seating for four people. From the ground floor, cool tones and whitewashed walls sweep up to the first floor where the two bedrooms are located. Featuring a double bed and twin beds, the rooms are a good size, pleasantly furnished, and wonderfully soothing. There’s also a separate shower room on this floor. Outside, a small patio is a lovely spot to sit and plan your day’s agenda. Alternatively, simply relax at the table and soak up the peaceful surroundings. Sweffling is a picturesque village with a friendly pub and café. Keen walkers can jump on routes straight from the doorstep but for a leisurely stroll enjoy the 3-mile circular route to Rendham. For a day out head to Framlingham (4.5 miles) and explore the 12th-century castle with its glorious parkland and lake. The popular seaside sailing town of Aldeburgh is a 20 minute drive away, offering a marvellous beach, a variety of quirky shops and art galleries, a cinema, and restaurants, not to mention the renowned fish and chips. Woodbridge is a 25 minute drive away and for those who are interested in history, nearby Sutton Hoo, is one of the greatest Saxon archaeological finds of all time. Snape Maltings, a world class concert hall and home to the Aldeburgh Festival, is 15 minutes' drive away.
