A delightful former fisherman’s cottage set in the heart of Appledore, an ideal choice for couples in search of a peaceful getaway by the sea. Enjoying a convenient location just a stone’s throw from the bustling quayside, where you’ll find a collection of independent shops and galleries, as well as a collection of pubs and eateries. Book a fishing or boat trip for exploring the magnificent coastline. A short drive will bring you to Westward Ho!, which boasts two miles of golden sandy beach, have a go at surfing or belly boarding or just relish the typical seaside amusements. During your stay, make sure you visit to some of the local attractions, which include the cobbled streets of Clovelly, RHS Rosemoor Gardens, Tapeley Park (all within 12 miles) and the estuary village of Instow which you can see across the river from the quayside (Seasonal passenger ferry runs Easter till end October ) and is a great way to see both sides of the River Torridge. Alternatively, just a 5-mile drive by car.
Entering the property into the lounge/diner with a feature stone fireplace housing an electric woodburner effect fire, comfy seating, TV and a selection of interesting reading matter. A dining table and chairs make mealtimes a breeze, and leading on through an inner hall to the galley style kitchen, which is well-equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, fridge/freezer and washing machine. A door leads out from here to the enclosed courtyard. Also on the ground floor is a bright bathroom with bath, shower over and WC. Back to the lounge diner and a door opens to the steep winding cottage style staircase (which may not suit those with limited mobility) and leads to the two bedrooms, one double with en suite WC and washbasin, and a single room.
Heading outside is a rear enclosed courtyard with seating and access to an outbuilding with sink (ideal for sandy paws or boots). Just a few minuet's walk to public car park or during off peak times nearby road side parking may be available.
