Next to this is a wooden dining table with seating for four and a sofa. Climb the stairs to reach the neutral-toned lounge with chandelier lighting, two plump sofas and an armchair and an attention-grabbing original fireplace with an open fire. On the second and third food is a bathroom plus two bedrooms – a double and a twin. Outside is an enclosed garden with furniture.

During your stay in the heart of Whitby, you’ll be spoilt for choice with the selection of seafood restaurants, cafes and shops on your doorstep (within 0.5 miles). Stroll along the River Esk and go for a dip in the sea at the dog-friendly Whitby Beach (0.5 miles). Wander along the seafront to reach Upgang Beach and Sandsend Beach (2.5 miles). Take Fido for a sniff around the 657AD Whitby Abbey ruins, the 199 Steps and the Whalebone Arch (all within 0.5 miles). Explore the North York Moors National Park where you’ll find where you can find the secluded Kettleness Beach (7 miles) and Little Beck Wood Nature Reserve (5.5 miles).
