This beautiful barn conversion set on a hillside at the edge of the Coed-y-Brenin Forest, between Dolgellau and Trawsfynydd is perfect for a family or a group of friends looking for a tranquil holiday hideaway. The property is situated on the owners’ smallholding. The property enjoys lovely views over Snowdonia’s forested hills and mountains. Step into this characterful two-storey property and discover a country style and many charming features, including exposed beams. On the ground floor is a kitchen/diner area with all the appliances you need to prepare some memorable meals to share. There are also a shower room and two bedrooms on this floor - a double and a king-size with en-suite. From the kitchen/diner, take a short flight of stairs to the landing area and a few stairs up to the spacious lounge with oak flooring, leather sofas and a TV, making this a lovely social space. From the landing area, there are a few steps up to the remaining bedrooms, each with a single bed and upper cabin bunk. Outside is an enclosed patio area to the front with garden furniture. The shared grounds offer lawned areas, a pond and picnic benches (children should be supervised outside the enclosed patio area). Coed-y-Brenin Forestry Visitor Centre is just 1 mile away, where you can enjoy the mountain bike trails, family walks and an all-ability play area. There are also walks to Pistyll y Cain and Rhaeadr Mawddach waterfalls, South Snowdonia National Trust Nature Reserve (3 miles) and cycle routes from the door. If you fancy a day at the beach, head to Barmouth (14 miles), where you can access the Mawddach Trail. Porthmadog (19 miles) is well worth a visit to see the harbour and learn about its rich maritime history.
