About This Property
Oc 9281 Maesgwm Barn is a 4 bedroom dog friendly property
This beautiful barn conversion set on a hillside at the edge of the Coed-y-Brenin Forest, between Dolgellau and Trawsfynydd is perfect for a family or a group of friends looking for a tranquil holiday hideaway. The property is situated on the owners’ smallholding. The property enjoys lovely views over Snowdonia’s forested hills and mountains.
The Barn is on five different levels and has been sympathetically converted into a four bedroom accommodation. On the ground floor there is a kitchen/diner that leads onto a utility area and a double bedroom with a shower room, accessed by 2 steps. From the kitchen, steps lead down to the lower area to an en-suite bathroom and a king size bedroom with a door to the outside. Leading up from the kitchen, there is a large sitting area with comfortable seating. Another flight of stairs leads up to two bunk rooms, sleeping five and a wc and bason completes the accommodation
Coed-y-Brenin Forestry Visitor Centre is just 1 mile away, where you can enjoy the mountain bike trails, family walks and an all-ability play area. There are also walks to Pistyll y Cain and Rhaeadr Mawddach waterfalls, South Snowdonia National Trust Nature Reserve (3 miles) and cycle routes from the door. If you fancy a day at the beach, head to Barmouth (14 miles), where you can access the Mawddach Trail. Porthmadog (19 miles) is well worth a visit to see the harbour and learn about its rich maritime history.
