Built in 1674 this delightful, picturesque property in the heart of the vibrant seaside town of Southwold is ideal for couples or families looking for a relaxing holiday less than 200 metres from the beach. The upper promenade is ideal for a peaceful stroll at any time of year, offering quick access to the beach, and the lighthouse is a famous landmark. The Common is also within easy reach, and a nearby footpath leads down to the harbour, where the pedestrian ferry takes you to Walberswick (summer only). An attractive cottage set over two floors, its coastal theme invites you to relax and leave everyday worries at the door as soon as you enter. On the ground floor, there is a living room with a plush sofa where you can relax and enjoy good conversation or watch your favourite movies via the Smart TV. An electric fireplace provides cosiness in the cooler months. The well-maintained kitchen offers everything you need to prepare your favourite dishes, and a wet room completes the basement. A narrow staircase leads to the first floor, where you will find two bedrooms: one double and one twin. Outside, you can enjoy the courtyard garden with furniture and a BBQ, which is ideal for al fresco dining on sunny evenings. If you can tear yourself away from all that Southwold has to offer, there are plenty of other attractions to enjoy. Head to the Southwold Maize Maze, where you can enjoy the zip wire, go-karting and, of course, the maze. Benacre National Nature Reserve (5.5 miles) includes the reed beds and lagoons of Benacre, Covehithe and Easton Broads and is on the route of a major walking trail, the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Path. Walkers can join the coastal path at Southwold for a lovely walk to Covehithe Beach (10.5-mile circular walk).
