Oc 6785 Oakwood Barn is a 3 bedroom dog friendly property in Yorkshire Dales, England
Oc 6785 Oakwood Barn is a dog friendly holiday cottage from HolidayCottages.co.uk
Surrounded by spectacular scenery, this beautifully renovated barn has walks from the doorstep and fabulous interiors where six can gather companionably. Pet-friendly and with flexible sleeping arrangements, it’s ideal for a holiday with family or friends. There’s a real sense of luxury within the traditional stone walls of this rural hideaway. Oak furniture, leather sofas, chairs and footstools plus the all-essential wood burner setting the scene for fun-filled get-togethers in the spacious lounge which sits to one side of the entrance hall. Dual-aspect windows and a wealth of home entertainment systems make this a room for all seasons. Step across the hallway and you’ll be in an impressive open-plan kitchen/diner with ample space for everyone to share self-catering duties and enjoy delicious meals – there’s even a Nespresso coffee machine for after-dinner drinks. A utility room just off the kitchen has laundry facilities and space to store coats, and opposite is a handy cloakroom to complement the first-floor bathroom, which has both a bath and a large separate shower plus far-reaching countryside views. Three beautiful bedrooms – each with its own TV – cater to any party make-up: one has a king-sized bed and an en-suite shower room, while the others have zip-and-link beds which can be made up as either super-king-size beds or twins (just let us know your preference when you book). There is limited head height on one side of the beds in these two rooms. A pretty courtyard-style garden increases your living space and comes with furniture and a BBQ so you can enjoy food and refreshments outdoors. There’s also space in the garage for coats, boots and bicycles. Your holiday home is on the edge of Caperby, mid-way between Hawes and Leyburn. The seven-stepped Caperby Cross in the village centre dates back to 1674 and suggests there was once a market held here, while all around there are excellent walks – a mile south, Aysgarth Falls is a stunning triple flight of waterfalls on the River Ure.
Short breaks may still be available.
