Set out on foot for a stroll through the open farmland to reach the nearby villages of Bradworthy and Kilkhampton, which both offer pubs, shops, a Post Office and church. Walking, shooting, watersports and fishing can all be enjoyed at nearby Tamar Lakes, which are only a 10 minute walk away. The North Devon and Cornwall coast is within easy reach and boasts a string of sandy beaches, quaint fishing villages and sheltered coves. The seaside town of Bude (14 miles) boasts shops, surf schools, outside sea pool, restaurants and sandy beaches. Hartland Abbey, Tapeley Park and Rosemoor are all within a short drive and make for lovely days out all year round. Theme parks, The Milky Way (7 miles) and The Big Sheep (11) offer a fun day out for all the family. And if you wish to travel a little further and have a full day out, the Cornish villages of Boscastle (27 miles), Tintagel (31 miles) and Port Isaac (37 miles) are all within an hours drive.
