With Exmoor National Park just a stone s throw from the property, guests have a copportunity to make the most of the endless scenic walks across the countryside and hidden beauty spots with ease. This cosy and quirky cottage is a short drive from the pretty village of Chulmleigh, where you can wander its steep, winding streets and browse the local cafes, shops and galleries. Nearby are also a wide range of National Trust gardens and properties which are great to explore on a rainy day, as are RHS Rosemoor Gardens, Dartington Crystal, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way. This inverse accommodation has been completely refurbished in June 2020 to offer stylish and modern accommodation. Offering two bedrooms on the ground floor with one double bedroom and one twin. The family bathroom, which is also on the ground floor, has a stylish and modern shower and WC. The upstairs open plan lounge/kitchen/diner has exposed original wooden beams, ample seating around a family dining table, flatscreen TV with DVD and Freeview. If you would rather stay in to cook your family or friends a dinner than venture to the pub, the well equipped kitchen has a electric cooker and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, freezer and washing machine in the separate utility room. Outside the cottage is an enclosed private garden with patio and lawn with garden furniture and a BBQ. Guests can also use the shared, heated, enclosed outdoor swimming pool (open between mid May and end September), a play area, games room with table tennis and pool table, and a tennis lawn. Guests are also encouraged to explore the many pathways which traverse this 80 acres of working HLS farmland (Higher Level Environmental Scheme) and to look out for a diverse range of flora and fauna that thrive on the land.
