The Forsinard nature reserve is just a short drive away, and there are plenty of breathtaking walks in this fantastic unspoilt area, as well as great locations for river and loch fishing. There’s sea angling at Helmsdale, a golf course nearby, and even opportunities to try your hand at gold panning. From here there are links to popular destinations including John O'Groats, Cape Wrath and the Orkney Islands.
