About This Property
Oc 41718 Lime Kiln Cottage is a 1 bedroom dog friendly property
This semi-detached property enjoys a wonderfully tranquil rural location, within 24 acres of land in the scenic woodland of the Exe Valley. The historic charter town of Bampton is just three miles away, and offers a range of pubs, bistros, and shops, as well as the interesting Norman motte, which visitors can climb to enjoy views over the town and the surrounding area. Active types will enjoy the fact that Exmoor National Park is just six miles from the property, offering miles of scenic walking routes and cycle paths, which stretch into neighbouring Somerset and down to the coast. For those in search of beaches, there are a number of wonderful sandy beaches less than an hour’s drive away, including those in Ilfracombe, Croyde, and Minehead.
This property's eco credentials include power provided by solar panels and a private water supply from a spring. Double doors from the patio area open straight into the spacious and welcoming lounge/kitchen/diner. The living area is heated by a wood burner which sits in the corner of the room, where comfortable sofas provide a relaxing place to cosy up and enjoy the TV/DVD, and radio. The kitchen area, which is set off to the rear of the room, is equipped with an oven, hob, fridge, dishwasher, and washing machine. The property has one bedroom: a restful room with a king-size bed, next to which is the shower room with its large shower cubicle and WC. Enjoy a welcome arrival hamper of local produce.
Outside, there is a small seating area to the front of the property which has attractive valley views, whilst to the rear of the property is an enclosed garden with a lawn seating area. Guests are also able to explore the farm’s twenty-four acres of land, and pay a visit to the resident pigs and chickens.
