- Grocery store at the top of the hill about a quarter of a mile away
- Fisherman's Friends Sea Shanty Singers can still occasionally be seen on a summer evening by the quayside
- Wadebridge is about 9 miles.
- Sandy beaches on the Camel Estuary, including Polzeath, Daymer Bay and Rock are all a 15 minute drive
- NT harbour of Boscastle and Tintagel's medieval castle are 10 miles.
